Duties and Taxes - I'm Done!
What's causing keyboards to be so pricey?

I have over 40 years of programming experience using a variety of languages over the course of my career to develop real-time solutions for real-world problems.
Keyboards connect us to the world and, as a keyboard enthusiast, I am searching for the ideal keyboard.
As a keyboard enthusiast, I look forward to new releases. However, my most recent purchase has me thinking twice before I buy anything.
| Order Subtotal: | $534.12 USD | |
| Shipping (Fedex): | $ 15.80 USD | |
| Taxes: | $ 0.00 USD | |
| Total: | $549.92 USD | $765.46 CAD |
A text/email from FEDEX demands an additional payment of $274.70 CAD for taxes and duties. The total cost of this order is now $1,040.16 CAD.
Tarrifs, exchange rates, duties, and taxes make for an unsustainable hobby. Hopefully, things will settle down in the not to distant future.

The Good News
The NiZ L84 RGB Tri-mode Low-Profile Keyboard is as close to the ideal keyboard as I could find to date. Cerakey’s ZEN75 is a very close second.
As pictured above, my NiZ L84 is now adorned by a combination of Cerakey Ceramic and Womier PBT shine-through keycaps while retaining the original split spacebar keycaps.
