Gateron Jade Pro Ultra Switches

I have over 40 years of programming experience using a variety of languages over the course of my career to develop real-time solutions for real-world problems.

Keyboards connect us to the world and, as a keyboard enthusiast, I am searching for the ideal keyboard.

I ordered Gateron Jade Pro Ultra Switches for my ATK RS6 Ultra+ Keyboard (Ranger), anticipating a higher keyboard "pitch" rather than a deeper thock. The switches arrived on April 28, 2026, and I installed them immediately.

The switch's build quality is immediately noticeable during installation, as it snaps snugly into the positioning plate. Loose-fitting switches and inconsistencies can dramatically affect the switch's sound profile.

Each keystroke is more consistent, yielding a more balanced sound profile. As for performance, I'm not disappointed with 104+ WPM out of the box.

Accuracy has always been a challenge, but I'm working on it. I equate a "typo" to hitting the wrong note that nobody wants to hear.

Overall Impressions

I'm very pleased with the Jade Ultra Pro Switches. Only time will tell if they become a favourite. I also ordered Gateron's Spark switches, amongst others, and anticipate competition in the "best of" category.
